It starts with our design process, on to the selection of the materials we use, all the way through making sure the product materials and components are all recyclable or reusable.
In 2013, Clek became the first and only car seat manufacturer to operate a car seat recycling program. What began as a do-it-ourselves operation has grown into strategic partnerships in both Canada and the United States to manage the disassembly and recycling or reintroduction of the plastic, metal, foam and fabric components into other products.
Recycling Program Facts
By weight, 95% of car seat components received through our program are recycled. Only 2 components - molded nylon parts and fabric covers - are not. If you have a use for these materials, please reach out!
Sustainability Simplified
More than 12 million car seats are thrown out every year in the U.S. alone. Through our recycling partners, we've made it easier than ever to recycle your Clek infant, convertible, or booster car seat. Together, we ensure that when your seat reaches the end of its life, it doesn't end up in the landfill. With recycling centers in the United States, all reusable materials go back into supply chain, reducing the cost of mining, processing and transportation of raw materials and eliminating landfill waste

Purchase a recycling kit here and you'll receive a prepaid shipping label. You'll also receive a coupon code for use at clekinc.com.*One coupon per transaction. Coupons cannot be combined with any other offer.
Purchase
Put your Clek car seat into the original box, or one of similar size, seal it, then apply the prepaid label to the box.
Ship
Print and apply the prepaid label to the box, drop it off at a UPS store of your choice, and we’ll recycle it at our US facility.
